Beach Houses Vacation Rental in the Bahamas
Tiny Harbour Island lies two miles off the north coast of Eleuthera. Barely three miles long and a quarter mile wide, it is considered by many to be the most picturesque island in the Bahamas. Zip around in a golf cart to go to one of the great little shops or eat at some terrific restaurants or spend the day at its deservedly world famous pale pink sand beach. More about Harbour Island
Though the Bahamian island of Eleuthera is only about 225 miles east of Miami, once there you’ll feel a million miles away. This very low profile island is long (110 miles) and skinny (no more than a mile wide). Up and down the coast are gorgeous and usually deserted pink sand beaches – many of which aren’t marked so one has to look for “subtle landmarks”. More about Eleuthera
Located just off the southern end of Eleuthera, Windermere, which is about 5½ miles long, is accessed by a guarded and gated bridge. Entry is limited to residents and their guests making this idyllic spot a perfect anecdote to modern day stress. Its usually deserted beach was described by Jacques Cousteau as one of the most beautiful in the world. More about Windermere Island
